Ruby Sutton, age 92 of Middlesboro, passed away Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012, at the Middlesboro Health Care Facility.

She was born May 18, 1920 in Union County, Tenn., and was the daughter of the late Tip and Margaret Tolliver Sparks. She was a longtime member of the West Cumberland Avenue Baptist Church. She was a faithful Christian who was very devoted to her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Sutton; six brothers and two sisters; a son-in-law, David Luckadoo; and a great-grandson, Evan Watson.

She is survived by the following members of her family: one son, Bobby (Alma) Sutton of Goodlettsville, Tenn.; two daughters, Brenda (Randy) Burchette of Harrogate, Tenn., and Sherry Luckadoo of Morristown, Tenn.

She was blessed with five grandchildren, Jonathan (Heather) Luckadoo of Knoxville, Tenn., Lynne (Michael) Smith of Goodlettsville, Tenn., Scott (Peggy) Sutton of Mt. Juliet, Tenn., Beth (Todd) Thompson of Jefferson City, Tenn., and Shana (Brian) Watson of Jonesborough, Tenn.; six great-grandchildren, Megan and Shelby Sutton, Curtis and Grayson Sutton, Grant and Avery Thompson, Lucy Luckadoo and Eli Watson; step great-grandson, Kannan Smith; sisters-in-law, Wilma Sparks and Beulah Sutton; special friend and caretaker, Margie Sexton; special adopted granddaughter, Hannah Bingham; many special nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; and special caregivers, the staff of the Middlesboro Health Care Facility, Dr. C.A. Moore, Julia Blocker and Staff.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Creech Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Bullock and the Rev. Danny Robbins presiding.

Interment will follow in the Green Hills Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be her grandsons.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at the Creech Funeral Home.
