Ruby Bryant, age 85 of Gray, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012, after a long illness.

Born in Bell County on July 19, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Lucy Brummett.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Bryant; her two sons, Marion and Wade Bryant; grandson, Paul Edward Bryant; and brothers, Randal, George and Donnie Brummett.

Survivors include four grandchildren, Steve, Justin and Michael Bryant and Tracy Gent; brothers, Slusher and Werner Brummett; sisters, Shirley Ballou, Libby Cox and Brenda S. Davis; a special great-grandson, Daniel Bryant; great-grandchildren, Paul and Jacson Bryant and Myra and Megan Gent; and a host of special relatives and friends too numerous to list.

Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with the Rev. Boyd Bingham presiding.

Burial will be in the Brummett Cemetery at Sims Fork, Arjay. Pallbearers will be Konomos and Bobby Brummett, Michael Bryant, Justin Bryant, Steve Bryant and Tim Gent.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Bryant Family. Light a virtual candle and sign the guest register at www.arnettsteele.com.
