Part of the East Pineville Baptist Church was destroyed and the main building damaged by fire late Tuesday. The fire destroyed the picnic area of the church and damaged some of the siding on the main church building. The cause of the fire has not been released. The Bell County Volunteer Fire Department responded to the fire in a matter of minutes, according to Anna Patterson, a witness at the scene. The fire is under investigation. The pastor of the church is Shelby Money.
