Maudie Cavin Belcher, 93 of Defiance, passed away on Sunday, November 25, 2012 at the Brookview Healthcare Center.

She was born on March 21, 1919 to John and Betty (Napier) Valentine in Pineville, KY. She married Wilburn Cavin in 1934 and he passed away in 1974. She then married Hilbert Belcher in 1980 and he passed in 2003.

Maudie is survived by her sons, William (Katherine) Cavin of Oakwood, OH, David (Marie) Cavin of Corbin, KY, Harold (Barbara) Cavin of Defiance, OH, Kenneth (Tina) Cavin of Defiance, OH; daughters, Barbara Garrity of Hicksville, OH, Jean (Frank) Vaughn of Hawk Point, MO, Muriel (Terry) Collett of Nancy, KY, Sharon (Roy) Brock of Defiance, OH, Erma (Rick) Hoffman of Defiance, OH; 28 grandchildren; 52 great grandchilden; 17 great-great grandchildren; sister, Mary Hubbard of Rogers, Ark; step son, Ronald (Ruth) Belcher of Defiance, OH; step daughters, Dee Winkler of N. Ridgeville, OH, Pebble Camp of N.Ridgeville, OH,

She was preceded in death by her parents, 1st husband, Wilburn Cavin; 2nd husband, Hilbert Belcher; son, John Cavin; daughter, Thelma Beach; grandsons Larry Wayne Keeling, David Cavin; granddaughter, Selena Cavin; brothers, Chuck & Edward Valentine; sisters, Mae Williams, Martha Lambert & Sally Valentine

She was a member of Pleasant View Missionary Baptist Church, Junction, OH. She worked many years in Pineville Community Hospital in Pineville, KY. Maudie was a loving mother and grandmother and will be missed by all.

Visitation, funeral and burial are all private.

Memorials are suggested to American Diabetes Society and the Parkinson Society.
