Kentucky State Police detectives are investigating an incident involving the Harlan County Sheriff’s Office and an individual in an apartment on Ivy Hill.
The state police reports that deputies were at an apartment on Ivy Hill attempting to serve a warrant when the deputies were fired upon. An apparent shootout engaged, but no one was injured. One person has been placed under arrest. The state police were called in by Sheriff Marvin Lipfird due to the exchange of fire that initiated.
