Ret. Senior Master Sgt. Air Force Delbert Eugene McMurray, age 52 of Tazewell, TN, was born November 20, 1960 and passed away December 12, 2012 at his home. He was a member of Red Hill Baptist Church in Powell Valley. He was retired from United States Air Force after 20 years of service. He was a graduate from Claiborne County High School with a Masters degree in social work from Lincoln Memorial University. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles & Alva Owens, Fred & Josephine McMurray, Edith Ruckman and uncle Jimmy Owens.

He is survived by his parents, Jim & Sandra (Susie) McMurray of Tazewell, TN; brother, Chuck McMurray; sisters & brothers-in-law, Tanya & Joe Butler of Middlesboro, KY and Robin and Travis LeFevers of Tazewell, TN; nieces and nephews, Randi Lynn and Ty Bledsoe, Jackson Butler, Amber and Alec McMurray, Kinsee and Kylie, A.J., Railynn Grace and Brystal Rayn LeFevers; uncles and wives, Don and Pat Owens of Knoxville, TN, Bob and Gerry Owens of Maryland, Fred and Ann McMurray of Knoxville, TN, JoEllen Merideth of Knoxville, TN; several cousins and other relatives and friends and special friends, Todd Harmon, Dr. Rudy Reyes and Kevin Perron.

Memorial service 3:30 p.m. Sunday December 16, 2012 at Coffey Funeral Home in Tazewell with military honors to follow at the graveside service at Fairview Cemetery.

Ministers will include Rev. Gary Mundy and Rev. Jason Miracle. Singers will be John & Betty Dyer and Joe Butler. Pallbearers will be the nieces and nephews.
