E. Louise Sturgill, 83, of Middlesboro, passed away Tuesday, December 18, at the Middlesboro ARH. She was born November 27, 1929 in Hazard, KY, the daughter of the late Lewis and Josephine Watkins Kidd. She was a devout Christian lady and belonged to the Southside Baptist Church where she was very active in all activities and taught Sunday School for many years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: James Sturgill; brothers: John, Jerry, Pete, Joe, Jesse and James Kidd; 1 sister: Anna.

She is survived by the following members of her family: 3 sons: Jimmy Lewis Sturgill, Jerry Wayne Sturgill and Ronald Sturgill; 1 sister: Shirley McIntosh; grandchildren: Pepper, Amanda, Matthew, Jacob, Mark, Emily and Wriley; great grandchildren: Madison, Allison, Erick, Mason, Haylee, Cameron, Zion, Kaylee, Hunter and Riley; and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, December 22, at the Creech Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jay Sulfridge presiding. Friends and family will meet at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 23 at the Green Hills Mausoleum for interment services. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Saturday, December 22, at the Creech Funeral Home.

The Family suggests that memorials take the form of contributions to the Southside Baptist Church.
