Jody Hunley, age 32, Middlesboro, KY, passed away Sunday, January 6, 2013 at his home. He was born December 16, 1980 in Middlesboro, KY, the son of the late William Hunley, Sr. and Emma Lee Bayless Hunley who survives. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his grandparents; Clair and Flora Hunley and Albert and Chanie Bayless; and his uncle, Robert Bayless. He was a member of Garmeada Baptist Church. He loved the mountains and 4-wheeling. He was a true outdoorsman.

He is survived by his mother, Emma Lee Hunley; his sister, Doris (Linnis) Evans; his brother, William Hunley, Jr.; nieces: Lindsey Evans Betz and Brooklyn Hunley; and nephew, Brandon Evans; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, family and friends.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at Shumate Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mark Prater officiating. Music will be provided by Garmeada Baptist Church Choir. Pallbearers will be William Hunley, Jr., Mark and Scott Huddleston, Tim and Jake Sowders and Brandon Evans. Burial will be in Yeary’s Cemetery. No Visitation. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes contributions to Shumate Funeral Home.
