Bertha Tolliver, 82 of Davisburg, KY., passed away Saturday January 26, 2013 at the Pineville Community Hospital. She was born March 2, 1930 at Roses Creek, TN., a daughter of the late Frank and Dora Kemplen. She was a believer of the Methodist Faith. Bertha was a Mother and Housewife. She enjoyed her years singing with the Quartet at Henderson Settlement in the 1940s. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Leonard Arthur Tolliver; son: Tony Tolliver; 4 brothers: George, Floyd, Jim and John Kemplen; 4 sisters: Girthie King, Marie Leach, Onalee Powers and Bessie Kemplen.

Survivors include: daughter: Vikki (Ron) Hamilton of Davisburg; sons: Gary Tolliver of Verona, KY., Ted (Leslie Joan) Tolliver; sister: Zadie Terry of Lower Laurel Fork; 7 grandchildren: Sondra, Sophia, Michael, Tina, Nick, Chris and Jenn; 6 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Creech Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kelly Partin presiding. Interment will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Head Cemetery at Davisburg. Pallbearers will be: Grandsons, Nephews and community friends. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at the Creech Funeral Home.
