Ewell Phipps, age 80, of Sneedville, Tenn., passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry & Mary Phipps; brothers, Willis Phipps, Herbert Phipps & Edward Phipps; sisters, Alice Orth & Lucy Elliott and brother-in-law, Willis Brown

Survivors include: wife; Wanda Phipps of Sneedville; sons and daughter-in-law, Ewell & Danielle Phipps of Sneedville and Billy Phipps of Sneedville; granddaughter, Chetzie Price of Sneedville; great-granddaughter, Autumn Mathis of Sneedville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Johnny & Patricia Phipps and Henry & Mary Ruth Phipps, all of Ferndale; sisters and brother-in-law, Ester Mae & Hollis Wilder of Middlesboro and Helen Brown of Dayton, Ohio.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at the McNeil Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Charles Roberts officiating.

Interment will follow in the Peavier Cemetery in Pineville, Ky.

Serving as pallbearers will be Steve Miracle, Bill Miracle, Dwayne Phipps, Ronnie Phipps, Jason Phipps & Travis Phipps

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at the McNeil Funeral.
