Nelson Kersey Silvers - age 79 of Knoxville, died Saturday, February 9, 2013, after a brief illness. He was born on September 13, 1933 in Kayjay, Kentucky. He worked for General Shale, Inc. in Knoxville before entering the health care profession as a private caregiver.
He was knowledgeable in antiques and collectibles and operated an antique business for a brief time.He is preceded in death by his parents, Claude Dillard Silvers and Henry Etta Rash Silvers; and a sister, Marjorie Silvers Horton.
He is survived by one son, Stephen Skylar Silvers and his wife Susan Silvers of Knoxville; one grandson, William Silvers of Knoxville; and several cousins. Service Private.
