Beverly A. Wilson Cheek, 69, was called to her heavenly home early this morning (February 15, 2013). She always sang “Wonder What They’re Doing in Heaven Today”. She doesn’t have to wonder anymore.
She was a true woman of God who knew how to get a prayer through. She will be missed, but God needed another angel to watch over us.
She was preceded in death by her father, Emmitt D. Wilson,; her mother, Myrtle Bradford Wilson; sister, Amalene Wilson and her brothers, Don and Lyle Wilson.
She is survived by her husband, Garland “Duck” Cheek of Rose Hill, Virginia; her son, Tim Cheek and wife Joy of Dryden, Virginia – the light of her life – her grandchildren, Kayley and Carsten Cheek of Dryden, Virginia; her sister, Theresa “Trish” Wilson of Rose Hill, Virginia; her brothers, O’Neal and Shelby Wilson of Glenburnie, Maryland; Mark (Tony) and Gail Wilson of Tazewell, Tennessee; Kyle and Pam Wilson of Middlesboro, Kentucky; William “Cotton” and Rose Wilson of Taylor, Michigan; Tyrone and Delores Wilson of Ewing, Virginia; sister-in-law, Betty Wilson of Rose Hill, Virginia.
Visitation and her Homegoing service will be held Sunday (February 17, 2013) from 5:00pm -8:00 p.m. Service beginning at 8:00 p.m. in the Arney-Mullins Funeral Home Chapel in Rose Hill, Virginia. Pastors Rev. Robert Charles Long and Rev. Michael K. Dalton will officiate.
Burial will be on Monday (February 18, 2013) at the Bradford-Daniels Cemetery in Rose Hill, Virginia.
Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. to go in procession to the cemetery.
