Buford M. Lemons, age 77, of Rose Hill, Virginia passed away on Wednesday, February 27, 2013, at Ridgecrest Manor in Duffield, Virginia. He was a farmer and a member of Ingles Chapel Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jo Lemons; siblings, Roy Lemons, Ruth Lowe, Robert Lemons, Zelma Cheek, Billy Lemons.

He is survived by his children: Beulah Newton of Rome, Georgia, Ronald Lemons of Ranburne, Alabama, Kenny Lemons of Tazewell, Tennessee, Carolyn Payne of Woodland, Alabama, Marilyn Shaw of Woodland, Alabama, Bobby Lemons of Rose Hill, Virginia and Debbie Newton of Loganville, Georgia; one sister: Goldie Williamson Hill and husband, Paul Hill; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 2, 2013, from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. at the Arney-Mullins Funeral Home Chapel in Rose Hill, Virginia.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Sunday, March 3, 2013, at Arney-Mullins Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Robert Charles Long Officiating.

Burial will follow in the Cheek Cemetery in Rose Hill, Virginia.

Pallbearers: Peter Combs, Daniel Ervin, Donovan Newton, Brian Holloway, Rogelio Dominquez and Johnathon Newton.
