The case involving Adam Scott Hunter, a former Bell County substitute teacher, has been sent to the grand jury.

Hunter, 25, was arrested approximately three weeks ago after he allegedly sent inappropriate photos to a female student. He was arrested by officers from the Bell County Sheriff’s Department and charged with the use of a minor under 16 in a sex performance and distribution of obscene matter to minors.

According to the Bell County Detention Center website, he remains in custody on a $500,000 bond.

According to Bell County Assistant Attorney Chris Douglas, the sheriff’s department executed a search warrant and arrested Hunter at his residence. A cell phone was recovered, but officers have not released information about the item.

Douglas stated the inappropriate pictures were allegedly sent to a female student. The female sent the photos to a male student who then showed the photos to the police.

B.J. Brock of the sheriff’s department is working the case.
