The Subway restaurant in Middlesboro has a new manager — Jennifer Carmack Hatfield, said Darlene Hoskins, regional manager.
Hatfield has been with the company for 12 years, coming to Middlesboro from the Harrogate, Tenn., location.
“I feel wonderful about her management skills,” said Hoskins.
Hatfield is originally from Hazard and currently resides in Middlesboro.
“You have to find the right person for the right position and I think that’s happened,” said Hoskins.
Hoskins said she is encouraged by the way the staff has embraced their new manager.
Fortunately, the right hire, along with a strong support staff, are making a difference, said Hoskins, who credits Hatfield’s positive attitude as a factor.
Hoskins also said she feels the public is responding well to the store’s direction, smiling and citing the “happy” atmosphere as a reason for this.
“You’re quick to hear about negative responses, but not always so quick to hear the positives,” she said. “I’ve been getting a lot of positive feedback and we are very happy about that.”
Hoskins said she hopes those who haven’t been in the store for a while will come back and “see for yourselves the changes we have made.”
Customer service will be a point of emphasis for the Middlesboro store and Hatfield’s staff, according to Hoskins.
Hoskins, who works primarily with the Middlesboro and Harrogate stores, said she encourages the public to share their experiences with her.
