Rummel, Bartie Lou Ball, age 87 of Gibson Station, VA., went home to be with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on Wednesday, March 13, 2013. She was a member of Shawanee Baptist Church. She was a retired nurse (LPN) at the Middlesboro Appalachian Regional Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cloyde (Ronnie) Rummel; parents: Larn and Chloe Brittain Ball; brother, Samuel (Sambo) Ball; and sisters: Jeanette, Minnie and Betty Jo. She is survived by her son, Terry Rummel and wife, Ginger; grandchildren: Reeve (Kristi) Rummel, Brandon (Sheila) Rummel and Amy (Jeremy) McAmis; and great grandchildren: Aaron, Chloe, Ethan, Chesney, Houston and Zoe.

The family will receive friends from 12 noon to 2 p.m., Friday, March 15, 2013 at Shumate Funeral Home Chapel in Middlesboro, KY. Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m., Friday, March 15, 2013 at Shumate Funeral Home Chapel with Shawanee Eastern Star Lodge conducting a service followed by Pastor John Gibbons of Shawanee Baptist Church. Burial will follow the funeral at the Suthern Cemetery in Gibson Station, VA.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to One Vision International, P O Box 20608, Knoxville, TN 37940.
