LOG MOUNTAIN — Bell County picked up their first wins of the season on Thursday as they swept a double-header from Lynn Camp 14-0 and 39-12.

In game one sophomore Dylan Cox turned in an outstanding effort the mound. He struck out 12 of the 16 batters he faced and allowed just one baserunner on a walk in the third inning.

Meanwhile the Bobcats put up six runs in the first, three each in the second and third and two more in the fourth to put the game away.

Jacob Rose led the Bell offense with two singles and double to drive in three runs and score two. Cox also drove in three with a pair of singles and scored three runs. Austin North added a single and double while Jeremiah Partin and Scotty Fields also had hits in the game for the Bobcats.

In game two the Wildcats jumped on top with eleven runs in the top of the first inning, but Bell answered with 12 in their half of the frame and never stopped hitting as they went on to the 39-12 win.

Caleb Smith came on in releif to hold Lynn Camp to just one run over the final two innings to pick up the win.

Bell County (2-1) hosts Whitley County on Tuesday.
