Damon Robbins, 53 of Hutch, passed away Saturday March 16, 2013 at the Middlesboro ARH. He was born August 13, 1959 in Middlesboro, a son of the late Chester “Booster” Robbins, Jr. and Eva Katherine Barton Robbins. He was a member of the Miller’s Chapel Baptist Church.
Survivors include: wife: Tammy Robbins of Hutch; son: Joshua Dane (Nancy) Robbins of Pineville; daughters: Shawna (Robert) Boatright of New Tazewell, TN., Emma Helton of Hutch; step-daughter: Lea Helton of Middlesboro; 4 brothers: Dennis (Diana) Robbins of Speedwell, TN., Waymon (Annette) Robbins of New Tazewell, TN., Chris Robbins of Washington D.C., and Kelvin (Paula) Robbins of Hutch; 1 sister: Laura Robbins of Tazewell, TN.; grandchildren: Raley, Jerika and Chloe Boatright of New Tazewell, TN., Bailey Helton of Middlesboro and Brodie Dane Robbins of Pineville.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Creech Funeral Home Chapel with Revs. Travis Thompson and Waymon Robbins presiding. Music will be provided by the Miller’s Chapel Baptist Church Choir and Skylar Robbins. Interment will follow in the Turner Cemetery at Colmar. Pallbearers will be: Jordan Robbins, Robert Boatright, Eric Fortner, Michael Daniels, Anthony Robbins and Bill Raines. The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Creech Funeral Home.
