Lisa Ann Davis Mace, 41 of Pineville, passed away Friday May 3, 2013 at her home in Woodland Hills. She was born August 26, 1971 in Middlesboro, a daughter of Freddy and Wilma Davis. Lisa was saved on Oct. 29, 2009.
Lisa is a lifelong resident of Bell County. Harmony Elementary provided her first years of school then she went on to graduate from Bell County High School in 1989. After High School she attended Union College where, in 1993, she received a degree in elementary education. Lisa pursued her education in the next years and obtained her Masters degree and Rank 1 for teaching. She was employed by the Bell County School System for 19 years with 12 of those years being a kindergarten teacher at the Lone Jack School Center. Lisa’s infectious smile and loving heart made her student’s transition from home to school an easier one.
Lisa married Anthony Scott Mace on June 9, 1995. She and her family were members of the Southern KY. Misfits Mustang Club. She enjoyed going to car shows, meeting new people, Zumba and hiking in the park. Her passion for living life to the fullest made her many friends.
She was preceded in death by her Grandparents: Will and Zelphia Lewis and Fred S. and Kitty Davis.
Survivors include: 2 precious Daughters: Kaitlyn Nicole Mace and Brittany Daniel Mace both of Pineville; Parents: Freddy and Wilma Davis of Pineville; Brother: Freddy Davis III of Pineville; and a host of relatives and friends are left to mourn her passing because “Sometimes when one person is missing the whole world seems empty.”
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Faith Temple Church with Rev. Mark Elkins presiding. Interment will follow at the Pinelawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at Faith Temple Church
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the Mace Children Scholarship Fund, First State Bank, Pineville, KY.
