Joyce M. Cochran, age 83, Middlesboro, KY passed away Thursday, June 6, 2013 at Middlesboro Appalachian Regional Hospital. She was born on April 17, 1930 in Pineville, KY, the daughter of the late Lee Otis Miracle and Sophie Miracle. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William A. “Bill” Cochran; son, Lee Cochran; sisters: Junie Cox, Quennie Cox, Wanda Kierstead, and Gwena Faye Hatfield.
She is survived by her son, Kelly Cochran and wife, Connie; daughter: Betty Cochran and husband, Tony Perkins; grandson, Chris Cochran; granddaughter: Brooke Bolinger and husband Johnny Wayne; great-granddaughters: Emilee and Katie Bowersock and their father, George Bowersock; step-granddaughter, Mackenzie Cobb; step-great-granddaughters, Alexis and Addison; sister-in-law, Nyda Bays and Norma Flis (Stan); cousin, Imogene Fletcher; special caregivers: Deloris Williams, Sharon Fugate and Tina Jones; and special recognition to Middlesboro Nursing and Rehab Facility, Dr. Patel and staff, and MARH staff.
Graveside service will be 1 p.m., Sunday, June 9, 2013 at Green Hills Memorial Gardens with Elder Kenneth Robbins. Music will be provided by Jenna Jefferson. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Saturday, June 8, 2013 at Shumate Funeral Home Chapel.
