Myrtle Lee Sumpter Moore, 83, of Middlesboro, fell into the arms of Jesus, Friday, June 14, 2013 at the Tri-State Health and Rehabilitation Center of Harrogate, TN. She was born January 26, 1930 in Bell County, KY, daughter of the late Albert and Ethel Ayers Sumpter.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Ethel Sumpter; her husband, Robert Curtis Moore; grandson, Travis Charles Rickett; Sisters, Gladys Johnson and Pauline Lovett Green; brothers, Lester Sumpter and Chester Sumpter.


She is survived by her daughters, Jacqueline (Charles) Rickett of Arcadia, FL, Debra Jean Moore and Kimberly Renee Moore Roberts of Middlesboro, KY; granddaughter, Robin (Ronald) Whitman of Arcadia, FL; two great-grandchildren, Sydney Elizabeth Whitman and Noah Travis Whitman of Arcadia, FL; two sisters, Lois Jarvis of Niceville, FL and Cloeva Swafford of Barbourville, KY; one brother, Wayne Sumpter of Cincinnati, OH; also many nieces, and nephews and special friends at Bethlehem Baptist Church of Dorton Branch.


A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, June 22, at 1:00 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeff Tingle.


The family will receive friends at 12:00 Noon on Saturday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home Chapel, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Moore Family. Light a virtual candle and sign the guest register at www.arnettsteele.com.
