Brian Keith Gibbons, 38, of Shawanee, Tenn., was found guilty of second degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense, a Class D felony. Gibbons was sentenced five years in a state penitentiary and will be placed on supervised probation for a period of five years after his release. He will also be required to pay court costs in the amount of $151 within 180 days of release and will receive credit for two days time served.
Kacy Stewart, 24, of Middlesboro was found guilty of two counts of first degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense, each a Class C felony. Stewart was sentenced to six years in a state penitentiary and will be placed on supervised probation for a period of five years after her release. She will be required to pay court costs in the amount of $151 within 180 days of release, and she must complete 20 hours of community service each month at the Bell County Homeless Shelter.
Matthew W. Hall, 22, of Mary Alice, Ky., was found guilty of an amended charge of receiving stolen property under $300, a Class A misdemeanor. Hall was sentenced to 12 months in the Bell County Jail, which will be probated, and he will be placed on supervised probation for a period of 24 months. He will be required to pay court costs in the amount of $151 within 180 days of release and restitution in the amount of $4,000 on behalf of the victims, Betty and Shane Teague of Harlan.
Darryl H. Jones, 45, of Middlesboro was found guilty of first degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense, a Class C felony. Jones was sentenced to five years in a state penitentiary designated by the Department of Corrections and will be required to pay court costs in the amount of $151 within 180 days of release.
Bradley Monroe Barnett, 20, of Middlesboro was found guilty of an amended charge of first degree criminal trespassing, a Class A misdemeanor. Barnett was sentenced to six months in the Bell County Jail. He will be required to pay court costs in the amount of $151 within 180 days of release and restitution in the amount of $821.61 on behalf of the victim, Roy Wilder.
Charles Edward Lawson, 22, of Pineville was found guilty of first degree robbery, a Class B felony. Lawson was sentenced to ten years in a state penitentiary designated by the Department of Corrections and will be required to pay court costs in the amount of $151 within 180 days of release. He will receive credit for 198 days time served.
Martese Dante Hariston, 31, of Middlesboro was found guilty of first degree trafficking in a controlled substance, second or greater offense, a Class B felony. Hariston was sentenced to ten years in a state penitentiary designated by the Department of Corrections and will be required to pay court costs in the amount of $151 within 180 days of release.
Michael S. Reynolds, 29, of Corbin, Ky., was found guilty of theft of identity of another without consent, a Class D felony. Reynolds was sentenced to one year in a state penitentiary designated by the Department of Corrections and will be required to pay court costs in the amount of $131 within 180 days of release. He will receive credit for 73 days time served.
Terry Allen Hamrick, 37, of Stinnett, Ky., was found guilty of an amended charge of theft by unlawful taking or disposition, a Class A misdemeanor. Hamrick was sentenced to six months in the Bell County Jail and will be required to pay court costs in the amount of $151 within 180 days of release. He will receive credit for 41 days time served.
Jeffrey M. Weaver, 23, of Middlesboro was found guilty of an amended charge of third degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, a Class A misdemeanor. Weaver was sentenced to 12 months in the Bell County Jail, which will be probated, and he will be placed on unsupervised probation for a period of 24 months. He will be required to pay court costs in the amount of $151 within 180 days of release and restitution in the amount of $100 on behalf of the victim, Save-A-Lot.
