Sheriff nabs Frakes man for selling alcohol

FRAKES, Ky. — A Frakes man was arrested by the Bell County Sheriff’s Department (BCSD) Thursday afternoon in his residence after complaints were made from people in the community he was selling alcohol to minors.

Edward “Eddie” Vance, 49, was charged with unlawful possession/sales of alcoholic beverages in a dry territory and driving on a suspended for driving under the influence, 2nd offense.

In a press release, Sheriff Bruce Bennett stated that his deputies purchased alcohol from the man, which led to his arrest.

BCSD confiscated several containers of liquor and vodka, 80 cans of beer, and “several bottles of what appeared to be moonshine,” according to the release.

Vance was lodged in the Bell County Detention Center. He’ll be arraigned in district court Friday morning.

Vance has been arrested in Bell County on a variety of charges over the years by different agencies. Some charges include driving under the influence, several counts of drug possession, shoplifting, criminal trespassing, forgery, and contempt of court.

Assisting Bennett in the arrest were Captain James Shackelford, Deputies B.J. Brock, Doug Jordan, and Kyle Dunn.

Sure he does,but this guy is an apparent low life sorry end that does not want to make that living in a decent manner.Why is it when times get hard that some people automaticly turn to crime and feel justified in doing so?I say throw the book at him.He's no stanger to the system.
