25-year-old Ladessia N. Barton, of the Meldrum community, was indicted with sodomy in the third degree, along with the other five counts of sexual abuse, at the beginning of December 2009. Barton pleaded guilty only to the sexual abuse charges.
Arresting Middlesboro Police Dept. Officer Joe Holder said that
the offenses with the 14-year-old were “uncovered through an unrelated investigation.”
