“Everybody played pretty well and it was a big night for Naysa Beeler getting her first start with Jonna (Adkins) out with a sprained ankle,” said Lady Panther coach Tracy Brooks. “It’s a good time of year to play a non-district game so there’s not so much pressure.”
Senior center Mackenzie McFall scored seven of her game-high 21 points in the first quarter and Chelsea Graves hit a pair of 3s as CGHS built a 19-10 lead.
Emily Daniels added seven in the second period and by halftime the Lady Panthers were up 37-21.
McFall scored eight more in the third and Graves put up seven in the fourth to finish with 19 as the Cumberland Gap went on to the 16-point win.
Cumberland Gap (15-9, 5-6 in district) plays at Oneida this evening and hosts Grainger Friday in their regular season finale.
