Late afternoon wreck sends one to MARH

MIDDLESBORO — A two vehicle accident sent one man to the hospital. Bill Roark, age unknown was transported to Middlesboro ARH after being involved in an accident at the junction of 22nd Street and Winchester Avenue Monday. According to Greg Hoskins, who was also involved in the accident, he was driving west on Winchester Avenue at approximately 4:30 p.m. when he the black Chevrolet Silverado he was driving was struck by a silver Nissan Altima being driven by Roark, who was traveling south on 22nd Street. Middlesboro Police responded to the accident, but no official report was available at presstime.

For The Record ! The black truck was traveling west on Winchester.The gold car was traveling south on 22d street when it pulled into the path of the black truck.

The silver car must be one of those new-fangled vehicles that travel sideways. I thought it was only a myth, much like unicorns and mermaids. Guess I was wrong.
