MOLUS, Ky. — Lydia Sue Saylor, age 59, passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at the Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital, after a courageous battle with cancer. 

Born September 19, 1950, in Cincinnati, Ohio, she was a homemaker who loved flower gardening. She was also a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She believed in the Pentecostal faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth Harlan Rogers and Agnes Downing Rogers; and one sister, Nancy Baird.

Survivors include her husband of 44 years, George Saylor of Molus; four children, Jesse Saylor and wife Kim of Molus,Kenneth Eugene Saylor and wife Tammy of Molus, George Allen Saylor Sr. of Molus, and Tammy Saylor and friend Michelle Felix of Wisconsin; eight grandchildren, Brian Saylor and wife Destiny, Brittany David and husband Chris, Michael Eugene Saylor, George Allen Saylor Jr., Jordan Clark Saylor, Shilyn Brooke Saylor, Lydia Catherine Saylor and April Louise Saylor all of Molus; two great-grandchildren, Christopher Landon David and Paige McKenleigh Saylor, both of Molus; one brother, Jerry Robertson and wife Kathy of Illinois; one sister, Deliha McPherson of Illinois; and several nieces, nephews, relatives and many friends also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, March 13, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home with the Rev. Jeff Craig officiating.

Burial will follow in the Saylor Family Cemetery at Molus, with her children and grandchildren serving as pallbearers.

Visitation will be held Friday, March 12, from 5-9 p.m. in the chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home.
