MIDDLESBORO — After pulling over a vehicle for erratic driving on U.S. 25-E, the Middlesboro Police Department (MPD) arrested a Tennessee resident for drug possession, according to law enforcement.

On Thursday, Melissa Collins, 42, of Cumberland Gap was allegedly driving erratically on 25E and, when pulled over by MPD officers, they located a small amount of methamphetamine and found several items used in the manufacture of meth.

Collins was arrested and charged with manufacturing methamphetamine 1st offense, possession of a controlled substance 1st degree, and D.U.I. 1st offense.

The case is being investigated by MPD Officer Barry Cowan.
