PINEVILLE — The Bell County Fiscal Court met in regular session on April 13. The following report is from the meeting minutes:

Judge-Executive Albey Brock proclaimed April 16 as Autism Awareness Day and he read the proclamation to the court.

The Leamon Lee family petitioned the court to take back the Leamon Lee road. County Attorney Neil Ward explained the process to the family and the court.

Don Breeding with the Department of Highway presented the Rural Secondary Road Program to the court.

John O’Boyle, Bell County PRIDE Coordinator, spoke to the court about spring cleanup month. Volunteers are needed. He thanked the judge and court for their continued help with the cleanup.

The Magistrates and Brock approved the following:

•Payment of bills and necessary transfers.

•Treasurer’s financial statement for last month.

•Sheriff’s claim sheet for fee account for last month.

•2nd reading of budget amendment number 3.

•Resolution adopting and approving the execution of a county road aid co-op program contract for the fiscal year beginning July 1, as provided in KRS and accepting all roads and streets referred to as being a part of the county road system.

•Proclamation for April as pride clean-up month.

•Appointment of Patricia Bingham to the Bell Co. Public Library Board of Trustees, term to expire Feb. 28, 2014.

•Open bids on tractors.

•Bid received from London Farm Service.

•Bid for tractor from London Farm Service for $37,142.64 pending road supervisor’s review of the specs.

•Payment of $16,047.54 to Vaughn & Melton Consulting Engineers for work performed on the OTB sewage lift station and force main.

•Payment of $220,620.21 to Akins Excavating Company Inc. for work performed on the OTB sewage lift station and force main.

•Hire of Christopher L. Asher and Jeromy Killion as part-time EMT at $7.25 per hour.

•Accept Fiscal Court audit for fiscal year ending June 30, 2009.

•Employee raises of 4 percent.

•2010-11 budget presented to the fiscal court.

•Golden & Taylor Road into the Bell County Road System in District 2.

•Checks from Sheriff Bruce Bennett for $140,556.56.

•Checks from Clerk Becky Blevins for $22,939.11.
