A second altercation nearly broke out between councilmen Ronnie and Lucas Carter and Street Superintendent Leeman Moyers outside of City Hall on Tuesday night.
Moyers waits outside while MPD goes into City Hall.
Just after the meeting had adjourned, Street Department Superintendent Leeman Moyers made a comment to Councilman Lucas Carter as Carter was exiting the council chamber.
Immediately afterwards, Councilman Ronnie Carter (Lucas's father) confronted Moyers. The elder Carter yelled at Moyers not to "threaten" his son. The two men were quickly separated by Middlesboro Police Chief Jeff Sharpe, who was also standing in the hallway outside of the council chamber.
Moyers left the building, while Sharpe waited with the Carters.
Within a minute, three Middlesboro Police cruisers were parked outside of City Hall and officers went inside.
However, when both Ronnie and Lucas Carter exited the building, an altercation almost broke out again between the Carters and Moyers.
Police separated the men and all the parties left.
