MIDDLESBORO - An altercation between two Middlesboro City Council members and a city official almost came to blows Tuesday night after the regular session meeting of the City Council.

Just after the meeting had adjourned, Street Department Superintendent Leeman Moyers made a comment to Councilman Lucas Carter as Carter was exiting the council chamber.

Immediately afterwards, Councilman Ronnie Carter (Lucas's father) confronted Moyers. The elder Carter yelled at Moyers not to "threaten" his son. The two men were quickly separated by Middlesboro Police Chief Jeff Sharpe, who was also standing in the hallway outside of the council chamber.

Moyers left the building, while Sharpe waited with the Carters.

Within a minute, three Middlesboro Police cruisers were parked outside of City Hall and officers went inside.

However, when both Ronnie and Lucas Carter exited the building, an altercation almost broke out again between the Carters and Moyers.

Police separated the men and all the parties left.

The Carter's will get another term on the city council. Why? Because this town is inhabited by fools, that's why. Y'all will vote for them for idiotic reasons: "Dhems good Christians," "dhems good people," "dhems one of us." Practically everybody in southeast KY wants to be known as a "good Christian" but that doesn't mean they should be serving as elected officiala. The Carter's, especially the son, have no ideas to offer and are clueless on how to reverse this city's steady economic decline. Welcome to Yahoosville, welcome to Redneck City. A person couldn't make this stuff up.

Leeman Acts like he owns the City. What about the Carter's they are known for acting like pure idiots. No matter what was said this is not the place to show our ignorance! Come on Council members grow up!

Someone needs to knock the piss out of Leeman and put him in his place... He thinks he owns Middlesboro and can do whatever he wants and get away with it.
