Middlesboro junior Evan Womack rounds third and heads for home during Monday’s 9-4 win over South Laurel in the opening round of the 13th Region baseball tournament.

Heavy rain in Middlesboro Tuesday afternoon caused the cancellation of last night’s games. The tournament is scheduled to resume this evening with the semifinals. Corbin take on North Laurel at 5:30 p.m. with the host Jackets playing Clay County in the late game, which should start sometime around 8 p.m.

Barring any further rain delays the championship game is scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday at Middlesboro.
