A much-needed turning lane is being installed on Hwy. 25-E in front of the Bell County Vocational School. Bell County Sheriff Bruce Bennett and State Representative Rick Nelson worked with the Kentucky Department of Transportation to get the north-bound turning lane installed, in hopes of decreasing the danger of traffic accidents at the location.
During school hours, traffic from Bell County High School, Vocational School and Bell Central overflow across the highway, creating hazards for commuters and school buses. The turning lane should minimize the risk and is a welcome addition to the road for students, parents and faculty.
