Bomb Threat at LMU

At 8:05 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27, LMU security received a threatening phone call which identified the Tex Turner Arena as a target for possible malicious activity. LMU Security Services immediately contacted local law enforcement and the Claiborne County Sheriff's Department responded.

Officers, assisted by LMU Security, and the Harrogate Fire Department cordoned off the area while EMS personnel stood by. Sheriff David Ray and Chief Investigator David Honeycutt interviewed at least three individuals on campus and later released them. The Knox County Sheriff
