PINEVILLE - A man being held in the Bell County Jail faces charges of assaulting a woman following recent grand jury indictments.

On Feb. 21, a grand jury in Bell County Circuit Court indicted Joel Dan Wilson, also known as Joel Dan Lasley, on two counts of assault and one count each of unlawful imprisonment and being a persistent felony offender. The charges against Wilson, 50, whose address was listed as the Bell County Jail, are in connection with incidents occurring Nov. 1 in which April Vanover was injured while being held against her will and beaten.
