Middlesboro man to serve 13 years for drug trafficking

PINEVILLE - A Middlesboro man will serve a total of 13 years in prison following sentencing for drug charges recently in Bell County Circuit Court.

On March 19, Judge James L. Bowling sentenced Daryl DeWayne Kyle, 42, of W. Doncaster Ave., Middlesboro, to two concurrent sentences of eight years in prison after accepting Kyle's Feb. 19 guilty plea to one count each of trafficking in methadone and oxycodone, both controlled substances, both in connection with Oct. 14 incidents. Kyle also was sentenced to five years in prison, to be served consecutively to the other sentences, after pleading guilty to possession of cocaine, a controlled substance, in connection with a Sept. 5 incident.

Additional charges of failure to maintain required insurance, operating on a suspended/revoked operator's license, and being a persistent felony offender were dismissed.
