Born at Ingram on October 15, 1940, he was the son of the late Will and Roxie Goodin. He had been a member of Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church for 53 years, and had retired from A&P.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, J.S Goodin, Leroy Goodin and Billy Don Goodin; and a sister, Irene Goodin.
Survivors include his wife, Irene Goodin; children, Dewayne Goodin and wife Sabrina, Tammy Brock and husband Donnie; brothers, Finley Goodin, Kinley Goodin, and Bobby Ray Goodin; grandchildren, Kristen Brock, Justin Brock, Kaylee Goodin, Connor Goodin, Brooke Goodin, and Allen Goodin; and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 19, at Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Keith Bays, the Rev. Arnold Petry and the Rev. David Fuson presiding. Music will be provided by Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church and the Thompson Family.
Burial will be in Green Hills Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are Donald Perry, Tommy Garland, Dewey Middleton, Robby Landrum, Eb Asher, Jim Woodruff, Bobby Glenn Slusher and Ron Gilley. Honorary pallbearers are Elden Asher Jr., Glenn Slusher, Russell Miracle, Tommy Asher, Norman Landrum, Lee Stewart and Dr. Steven Morgan.
The family received friends from 6 until 9 p.m. Monday at Brooks-Durham Funeral Home.
