Danny Ray Gibson, age 65 of Pineville, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012, at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington.

He was born on Oct. 14, 1946 in Trenton, Mich., and was the son of the late Lionel Frederick and Ethel Mae Jordison Gibson. Danny was a retired press operator for the Ritter and Sons Company in Michigan.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Sylvia Henderson; and brothers, George, Melvin and James Gibson.

Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Cora Miracle Gibson of Pineville; daughter, Ethel Marie White and husband Kevin of Corbin; step-son, Roger Bill Armstrong of Miracle; grandchildren, Gage, Savanna and Faith Hill, Matthew Vaughn, Alex and Joshua Armstrong; sisters, Nancy Wilder and Alice Haywood, both of Miracle; and a host nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 6-9 p.m. at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home. Cremation will follow the visitation at the Arnett & Steele Cremation Center in Pineville.

At Danny’s request, there will be no funeral service.
