Bernice Ausmus Keck Maddox, age 89 of Cumberland Gap, Tenn., was born March 11, 1923 and passed away October 22, 2012 at Tri-State Rehabilitation Health Care Center.

She was a faithful member of Providence Baptist Church, Powell Valley Chapter of the Eastern Star, where she served as Worthy Matron during 1983 – 1984, and member of the Shawanee Order of Eastern Star.

Preceded in death by parents, Troy & Floy Ausmus; sisters, Lois Johnson and Colleen Crawford; husbands, Cecil Keck and William Haze Maddox.

She is survived by daughter, Carolyn (& Pat) Ousley of Cumberland Gap; son, Dennis (& LuAnne) Keck of Cumming, GA; step-son, Bill (& Esther) Maddox of Sandusky, OH; step-daughter, Rita Billman of Speedwell; sister, Nila Siler of Guntersville, AL; 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Funeral services 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Providence Baptist Church with Rev. David Fuson, Jr. officiating.

Music by Providence Baptist Church Choir.

Burial in the Harrogate Cemetery.
