June McGaffee Clark, 89 of Lexington, originally from Bell County, passed away on Tuesday, December, 4 2012 at her daughter’s home in Lancaster, KY. She was born in Tinsley on December 18, 1922 and was the daughter of the late Clyde and Fannie Underwood McGaffee. June was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker and was a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church in Lexington.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Clark; brothers, Carl McGaffee and Curtis McGaffee.
Survivors include her children, Jerry Clark and wife, Jean of Louisville and Allyson Holloway and husband, James of Lancaster; grandchildren, James E. Holloway, Tammy James and husband, Dan, Christopher Clark and Jeresa White and husband, Toby; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Jim McGaffee of Pineville and sister, Bobbie Slusher of Lexington and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Dr. Jerry Browning. Burial will follow in the McGaffee Cemetery at East Jellico with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are David Shelly and Rick McGaffee.
