Trilby Dunsmore Bevins, 77, of Harrogate, TN, passed away Tuesday December 18, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, TN.

She was born January 12, 1935 in Wallins, KY, the daughter of the late Burley and Carrie Brown Stephens. She professed Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was a member of the Shawanee Baptist Church where she had served many years as a Sunday School and Vacation Bible School Teacher. She had also worked in the nursery. She supported the Operation Christmas Child Ministry of her church by wrapping thousands of Christmas boxes for children in foreign countries. She was a graduate of Cumberland College and Lincoln Memorial University.

She had taught in the Bell County School System and also at the Gateway Christian School for a total of 37 years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers: Abner and Paul Stephens; sisters: Pauline Turner, Ollie Shields and Billie Price; her husband of 50 years: Oddie Dunsmore; and her 2nd husband: South Bevins.

She is survived by the following members of her family: 3 daughters: Cynthia (Al) Stephens of Harrogate, TN, Margaret (Joe) Serrenho of Harrogate, TN and Rebecca (Tim) Jones of Cleveland, TN; 2 step-children: Wade (Missy) Bevins and Beth (Bill) Duncan; 4 grandchildren: Erika Bolton of Knoxville, TN, Joseph Serrenho, Amelia Serrenho of Harrogate, TN and Connor Jones of Cleveland, TN; step-grandchildren: Michael (Becky) Stephens, Becky Stephens, Aaron and Will Bevins, Joseph, Isaac and Matthew Duncan; step—great granchildren: Sarah and Chloe Stephens; and a host of other family members and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, December 21, at the Creech Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Gibbons presiding. Music will be provided by Daniel Carmack. Graveside services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, December 22, at the Harrogate Cemetery. Pallbearers will be the Deacons of the Shawanee Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, December 21, at the Creech Funeral Home.
