Kayetta “Kaye” Willoughby Woolum, 68 of Pineville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at the Pineville Community Hospital. She was born in Santa Fe, NM on September 11, 1944, a daughter of the late Cecille Willoughby and Bill Willoughby. She grew up in the Richmond, KY area. Kaye was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pineville. She was a loving and devoted wife of 52 years and she was a wonderful mother and grandmother who never missed a sporting event during the time her sons were growing up and enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s activities. The most important things in her life were her family. Kaye enjoyed her time in Clearwater, Florida at their condo. She had worked as a secretary, dental assistant and a receptionist at Wayne Supply and had worked in Dr. Woolum’s office for many years. She had been an avid tennis player.
In addition to her partents, she is preceded in death by one brother-in-law, Ken Melms.
Survivors include her husband, Dr. Jerry L. Woolum of Pineville; sons, Gary “Tuck” Woolum and wife, Martha, Eric Woolum and wife, Amy, Mark Woolum and wife, Brigitte and Shawn Woolum and wife, Kimberly; grandchildren, Becca, Tyler, Kelsey, Tucker, Mackenzie, Chase, Dawson, Alexia, Ally and Sophie; sister, Mona Cho and husband Al; sisters-in-law, Terry Melms, Sherry Winkler and husband Dwight; brother-in-law Dr. Kerry Woolum and wife Kathyand a host of other relatives and many friends.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Ron Howard and Rev. Bob Grout. Music will be by Kenneth Parsons and Mickey Wilder. Burial will follow in the Pineville Memorial Cemetery, Pineville. Pallbearers will be Kerry Woolum, Dwight Winkler, John Combs, Aubrey Bailey, Kenny Lambert, Charles Burns, Bob Grout, Pete Cline and James Combs.
The family requests donations in lieu of flowers to the First Baptist Church - Youth Program, P.O. Box 67, Pineville, KY 40977.
The family will receive friends on Sunday after 5 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, Pineville.
