William Arthur Quillen, age 91, Colmer, KY passed away Monday, December 31, 2012 at his home. He was born June 13, 1921 in Bell County, KY, the son of the late Noah and Etta Green Quillen. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Hotense Quillen; his sister, Rosabelle Weston; and his brothers: Sherdian, Clayton, Rex, Ray, and Conley Quillen. Arthur served in the Army during WW II and POW in Hammerstein Prison. He worked at TriState Wholesale for 33 years and retired from Brownies Creek Collieries in Balkan, KY.

He is survived by his children: Alberta (Kenny) Robbins, London, KY, Judy (John) Robbins, Knxoville, TN, and Doug (Arthalea) Quillen of Laurel Hill, KY; his grandchildren: Mike (Kimberley) Wilson, Richmond, KY, Andrea (Timothy) Smith, Frankfort, KY, John Wiley (Teresa) Robbins, Field, KY, Leslie Ellen (Todd) Schwarzkopf, Powell, TN, Rebecca (Scott) Blankenship, Tampa, FL, Joel (Julia) Quillen, Houstonville, KY, Erin Freeman, Laurel Hill, KY, Matthew Quillen, Laurel Hill, KY and Thomas Wilson, Richmond, KY; his great-grandchildren: Jacob and Andrew Schwarzkopf, Hannah and John Houston Robbins, and Trace and Gracie Freeman; special caregiver, Linda Miracle and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Graveside service will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at Turner Cemetery with Elder John Robbins officiating. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
