Mrs. Jewell Inez Chadwell Ellison, age 79, Middlesboro, KY, passed away into glory on Friday, January 25, 2013. She was born on the wonderful day of August 28th in the year of 1933. She was a Christian and active member of Copeland Ministries. She was preceded in death by her husband, Orville Ellison; mother, father, mother, grandmother: Effie Evans Chadwell, William Doyle Chadwell, Gladys Lee Chadwell, Mary Manis; sister, Mary Jean Chadwell Siler; and brother, Horace William Chadwell. Our mother was a warrior against cancer. She was the bravest person we knew. She never gave up the battle. She fought over a year and a half, and would have continued until the Lord said, Enough. Now she has His ultimate, magnificent healing, this is forever. Her strength was extraordinary as was she. She is sorely missed. We all love you Mom!

She is survived by her daughters: Kathy Diane Ellison Carrick and Sharon Kay Ellison; grandchildren: John Edward Turner, Leigh Cortney Turner-Miller (Andy); George Elliott Carrick; great-grandchildren: Owen Edward Turner and Dallas Miller; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Thursday, January 31, 2013 at Shumate Funeral Home Chapel with Dr.Field Officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 4-6 p.m., Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at Shumate Funeral Home Chapel.
