Man indicted for forged credit, debit numbers

A Pineville man has been indicted after allegedly stealing money using debit or credit card numbers that did not belong to him. Malcolm C. Neff, 26, was indicted on 18 counts of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument.

According to the indictment, Neff was an employee of Marathon Lee Food #11 in Pineville. While working, he allegedly used customers credit or debit card numbers to take out money for himself. The amounts received using the numbers ranged from $34.51 to $400.

The indictment states the alleged acts occurred between August and September. He was initially arrested by Det. Kevin Goodin of the Pineville Police Department.

A Middlesboro man and woman were also indicted recently after allegedly assaulting a man. Jewell L. Jackson, 37, and Clayton Ernest Jackson, 40, were both indicted on assault charges.

Clayton Jackson was indicted on second-degree assault and for being a persistent felony offender. Jewell Jackson was indicted on second-degree complicity to commit assault.

According to the indictment, Clayton Jackson allegedly struck his victim on the left forearm with a claw hammer and then on the left hand a couple of times. Jewell Jackson allegedly aided Clayton Jackson during the assault.

Sgt. Ben Spurlock of the Middlesboro Police Department arrested the Jacksons.

Other indictments recently handed down by the Bell County Grand Jury include:

* Donnie Duane Propst, 36, of Georgetown, was indicted on the charge of failure to illuminate head lamps, disregarding a stop sign, failure of owner to maintain required insurance, operating a motor vehicle while under the influence, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and third-degree assault;

* Christopher Jerome Hall, 34, of Middlesboro, was indicted on the charge of receiving stolen property over $500 and for being a persistent felony offender;

* Julie Ann Nelson, 29, of Middlesboro, was indicted on the charge of theft by unlawful taking over $500;

* Derick Lord, 26, of Pineville, was indicted on the charge of first-degree trafficking a controlled substance;

* Timothy L. Gregory, 53, of Fourmile, was indicted on the charge of second-degree trafficking a controlled substance;

* Joseph Cole Wilder, of Pineville, was indicted on the charge of second-degree trafficking a controlled substance;

* Archie Knuckles III, 32, of Beverly, was indicted on the charge of first-degree possession of a controlled substance;

* Charlotte Johnson, 38, of Calvin, was indicted on the charge of second-degree burglary;

* Michael Elden Sinkhorn, 41, of Pineville, was indicted on the charge of second-degree burglary, theft of mail matter, second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument and for being a persistent felony offender;

* Summer Hawk, 21, of Middlesboro, was indicted on the charge of first-degree possession of a controlled substance, giving officers false name or address, first-degree promoting contraband and for being a persistent felony offender;

* Anna M. Bowling, 35, of Miracle, was indicted on the charge of public intoxication, disorderly conduct, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and for being a persistent felony offender;

* Raymond Randall Good, 36, of Middlesboro, was indicted on the charge of receiving stolen property over $500 and theft by deception under $500;

* Jason Scott Good, 34, of Middlesboro, was indicted on the charge of receiving stolen property over $500, theft by deception under $500 and for being a persistent felony offender.
