Georgia Sue Bryant Boren, age 82, passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at her sister’s home in Middlesboro, KY. She was born October 17, 1930. She was a resident of Aiken, South Carolina for many years and a member of first Baptist church of Aiken, South Carolina. She was the daughter of George Roy Bryant and Roxie Inez Lidster Bryant. She is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Wayne Boren; daughter, Deborah Inez Boren; sister, Anna Maxine Newby; brothers: Clifford Bryant, George Roy Bryant,Jr., William Bryant, Harold Bryant and Carl Bryant.
Georgia is survived one son, David Boren; one granddaughter, one grandson, and one great granddaughter, all of South Carolina; one sister, Edith Partin, Middlesboro, KY, Henry Thomas (Margie) Bryant, Middlesboro, KY, Clyde (Jo) Bryant, Speedwell, TN and a very special sister-in-law, Barbara West Bryant of Cumberland Gap, TN; very special friend Greg Bowers of South Carolina; special caregivers Middlesboro ARH Hospital nurses, doctors, and aides, Hospice and prayer warriors; several nieces and nephews, and a host of great nieces and great nephews.
Funeral service will be 8 p.m., Friday, February 8, 2013 at Shumate Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Johnny Brown and Rev. Junior Albright officiating. Music will be provided by Charlie and Shirley Dummit and Rev. Junior Albright. Pallbearers will be Virgil Webb, Wilburn Webb, Carl Wesley Bryant, Jr., Cody Bryant, Jason Webb, Rodney Webb, and George Allen Middleton. Graveside will be 11 a.m., Saturday, February 9, 2013 at Mountainview Cemetery and Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Friday, February 8, 2013 at Shumate Funeral Home Chapel.
