Alvis “Al” E. Yeary, 83, of Powhatan, Virginia and formerly Ewing, Virginia, passed away peacefully February 26, 2013. He was a U. S. Army veteran during the Korean War and was owner operator of George’s Barber Shop.

He was preceded in death by two children, Dana and Carol Lynn Yeary.

He is survived by: his wife of 54 years: Retha Verna Yeary; four children: Dale, Larry and his wife, Dawn, Teresa and Lisa Yeary; seven grandchildren; one brother: Bud Yeary; three sisters: Thelma, Elvie, and Freda.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Arney-Mullins Funeral Home in Rose Hill, Virginia.

Burial will follow at 1:30 p.m. in the Lee Family Cemetery in Rose Hill, Virginia.
