Sammy Foister, age 60 of Pineville, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 2, 2012, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center.
He was born at Cary on Nov. 8, 1951, and was a son of the late Millard and Sudie Smith Foister. He was a member of the Arjay Baptist Church and had been a truck driver.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Viola Goodin, Katherine Miller, Franklin Foister, Randall Lee Foister and Jess Foister.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Nadine Begley Foister; children and their spouses, Sammy Stephen and Imajean Smith Foister, Stephanie and David Johnson, Chrissie and Matt Breeding and Allison Foister; grandchildren, Jacob Dylan Johnson, Chelsea Elizabeth Foister, Samuel Alex Foister and Gabriella Grace Breeding; brothers and sisters, Jack Foister, Dorothy Allen, Helen Walker, Jimmy Foister, Jewell O’Quinn, Fred Foister and Terry Blevins; special nephew, Ricky Foster, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Poore, the Rev. Ricky Foster and the Rev. Taylor Adams presiding. Music will be by Anna Foster and Stephanie Eldridge.
Burial will follow in the Green Hills Memorial Gardens in Middlesboro. Pallbearers will be Rev. Teddy Collins, Larry Elliott, Scott Gambrel, Carl Johnson Jr., Tim Miracle and Harry Philpot Jr. Honorary Pallbearers are Honsel Biliter and Lee Lyons.
