Steven Yeary, 51 of Rose Hill, Va., and Port Huron, Mich., died Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012 at St. Joseph Mercy in Port Huron.

Steven was a truck driver with Prime, Inc., a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a member of Path of Mercy Church.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Myron Yeary; grandparents, Edward and Emma Mell, and Earl and Shirley Yeary.

He is survived by his wife, Cindy Yeary of Port Huron, Mich.; six sons, Christopher Stanley, Todd Pomaville, Nick Stanley, Steven Yeary, John John Yeary and Josh Yeary; daughter, Katelyn Yeary; grandson, Jeremiah Stanley; parents, Orville and Marilyn Mell Yeary; sister, Vicky Hunley and husband, Paul, and their son, Shawn.

Visitation will be Friday is from 6-8 p.m. at the Rose Hill Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Funeral service will follow at 8 p.n. at the church with Rev J. Harold Smith officiating.

Military graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday by VFW Posts of Big Stone Gap, Norton and Coeburn along with the Virginia National Guard Honors Team at the Yeary Cemetery in Tazewell, Tenn.

Those attending the graveside are asked to meet at the church by 10 a.m. to go in procession.

Sons, daughter and nephew will serve as pallbearers

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
