Oscar Bud “Walker Man” Partin, 92 of Frakes, Ky., passed away Wednesday, November 14, at the Pineville Community Hospital. He was born May 14, 1920 at Tiny Branch, Ky., the son of the late Nathan and Lizzie Fuson Partin. He was a member of the Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church and a former member of the Lower Laurel Fork United Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Evonne Partin; daughter, Myrtle Lambdin; brothers, Jake, Luster, Fate and Clarence Partin; sisters, Sara Dixon, Arkie George and Dorothy Partin; grandsons, Eric and Greg Partin.

He is survived by the following members of his family: sons, Willard (Sharon) Partin and Wayne Partin, both of Frakes; daughter, Catherine (Wayne) Maiden of Frakes; sister, Sophia Lambdin of Frakes; brother, Beth Partin of Frakes; 24 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, November 18, at the Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Wayland Mason and Rev. Horace Partin presiding. Music will be provided by Homer and Pauline Sparks, New Vine Singers and the Pleasant Grove Choir. Interment will follow in the Partin Cemetery on Tiny Branch.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. Saturday, November 17, at the Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
