Ray Tyler VanHuss was born July 10, 1931 and passed away Saturday (December 8, 2012).

He was a member of the Silver Leaf Baptist Church.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Golden Welch VanHuss; sisters, Ruby VanHuss, Audrey Bowden, Irene Provance, Colleen VanHuss; brother, Cecil VanHuss; and nephew, Johnnie Ray VanHuss.

He is survived by: wife of 57 years, Evaline VanHuss; two sons, Wayne and wife, Patty, VanHuss of Rose Hill, VA and Darrell and wife, Theresa, VanHuss of Pennington Gap, VA; four grandsons, Eddie (Pam) VanHuss of Tazewell, TN, Mark VanHuss, and Bradley VanHuss both of Rose Hill, VA, and Wesley Penley of Pennington Gap, VA; three great grandchildren, Addison VanHuss of Tazewell, TN, Tye VanHuss of Rose Hill, VA, and Tanner Brim of Harrogate, TN; one brother, John VanHuss and wife, Euline, of Tazewell, TN; special niece, Kendra Spurlock and special nephew, Chase Spurlock.

He is also survived by loving nieces and nephews and a host of relatives and friends.

Calling hours will be from 6 – 8 p.m. Monday at Arney-Mullins Funeral Home in Rose Hill.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel in Rose Hill with Pastor Steve Neff officiating.

Military graveside service will follow in the Silver Leaf Cemetery in Rose Hill.
